Before leaving

- Choose a repeatable binocular station and viewing sector.
At the location
- Describe visible individual features and retain missing-feature uncertainty.
- Keep tracks and other signs separate from sighting rows.
Return
- Close the return check-in and collect equipment and waste.
- Follow the checked return without adding an unconfirmed crossing.
Review
- Choose one missing piece of evidence to check next time.
- Do not turn two sighting rows into two unique deer.
A fictional observation example
Fictional example: one deer is seen at two times after continuity was lost. Keep one per view; the number of unique individuals remains unresolved.
