Before leaving

  • Choose a verified firm-bank position with recovery already planned.
  • Inspect floating-decoy lines and anchors before placing the set.

At the location

  • Compare wind and drift with the planned exit and recovery arrangement.
  • Keep uninspected water or ground explicitly unobserved.

Return

  • Close the return check-in and collect equipment and waste.
  • Use the checked recovery arrangement; stop if it no longer works.

Review

  • Choose one missing piece of evidence to check next time.
  • Retain the bank context and hidden sectors with the observation.

A fictional observation example

Fictional example: one bird is seen in the checked sector. The adjacent screened sector is uninspected: record one for the view and unknown for the hidden sector.
